Hi! June,
In order to do Transitions you need to get rid of all junk food so you aren't tempted. There is a Nutriclean system you can use before you do the detox week. It cleanses your colon to give you a clean slate to work with. In other words it cleans your pipes. You will eliminate starches and sugars from your body which will help you to be more successful. I am 62(for 4 more days!) and have tried Transitions many times before. Since my initial start I have GAINED 9.6 pounds and 13.5 inches, and lost 2% body fat, not a great track record! But today is my day one of a new lifestyle. Any suggestions for making this time the winning transition is very, very welcome!

Hi Vicky,
Just finished my second week didn't loose any more weight. Yesterday I strayed a little bit. All I ate all day is a salad and yogurt. Worked all day and didn't have time to eat regular so cookout at night had hot dog no bun and one brownie so back to straight and narrow today. I have been buying plain low fat yogurt and adding my own fruit but I have to add splenda to make it sweeter. I hope that is okay for this diet. Other that that I have been living on mostly veggie burgers, yogurt, fruit, and vegetables. I have an egg once in while for breakfast.

Baby steps is usually the best way to go. This is my last day of detox and I am excited. I didn't think I would be able to stick to but I did. I went a whole week without coffee. I probably ate more servings of fruit daily than I was suppose to but after weighing myself this morning I lost 5 pounds. I hope I can get through the next 5 weeks with no bread and cereal. Best of luck to you as well.

I would love to be a weight loss buddy. I started out with 225 pounds to lose and I WILL lose it. I am currently doing the 7 day detox. I am finishing day 4 and actually it has not been all that challenging. I am a little bored with the choices but I haven't had the time to get real creative with food preparation. I've kept it pretty simple. If someone would have told me a few months ago that I would be eating vegetable soup for breakfast I would have said, NO WAY!!! I plan to weigh and measure myself at the end of the detox to get an idea of how far I've come. I have only been on the scales once since I started in January because it just depresses me that I'm not making progress as quickly as I did when I was 20 years old. I am now 58. My rational mind knows it is illogical but I go there nonetheless. This will be the first time in my life that I've dropped weight the healthy way. Without crash dieting and diet pills. But that's why they call this Transition's LifeStyle System because it's a complete life style change, not a diet. So if you're still looking for a buddy just let me know. Kara

How one find a battle buddy in my local area. I say battle buddy because losing weight is like fighting a war. Since I have been out of active duty in 89, since then I have gained over 60 pounds. Iknow I won't be that low again but it would be nice if could get close. Maybe then I could run the Boilmaker again.

theresa you did not fail why because you realized what you have done and what was eaten. Also if you look at other people with addictions be it drug, alcohol, when all of us get clean and better our habits it means we have to stop hanging around temptations even family members that might allow us to slip.

Hello all,
I have failed my first 6 weeks by having very poor will power. My house is empty but I cannot control when I am out socially at a family gathering. Not real bad, but need someone to be accountable to that is stay at home so I can get answer and help rather quickly. Not desperate, but I prefer someone who is on this more than after 5pm.

I love thermochrome, I only take "1" tablet instead of two, but I think because I can "feel" it working, though it\'s not too much... I miss it when I don\'t take it. It increases my metabolism and curbs my appetite!
